I really long to live in a small change.  If not for anything else other then a change.  I live in a big town and it is far too noisy i just want to be in a quite place where everyone knows and looks out for each other.

i live in a small town, a little bigger than Stars Hollow and I really love it.  There is one big high school, so you pretty much grew up with the same kids. Sadly there is no "Luke's" or small business like that, but it is still a great experience.

If it was stars hollow, no problem, I think it really depends on the town and who lives in it.  If their alittle off the wall and eclectic, I'd probably fit in somewhere!   Cheesy

That's one of the cool things about small towns.  There are always characters.  You would think that a big city would be the best place to find eclectic people, but they really stand out in a small town.  Plus, you really get to know odd people, such as you do in Stars Hollow, because you see them more often.

Yeah, diversity is good, and in small towns you get to interact with everybody, and whether you like them or not you can appreciate that they are different from you, and that is a good thing. If think if everybody was the same life would be really boring, though my husband jokes that there is a lot "in-breeding" on the island, and there was a guy who once got caught having sex with a dog - GROSS!!! I think if you lived in a city you probably wouldn't necessarily hear about that kind of thing, and I am actually sickened that I did - it is disturbing on so many levels!!

I wish I lived in a small town.  The town I live in is too big and I don't like it.  If I could find a place like Stars Hollow where I live I would so move there!!

I would love to live in a small town where everybody knows everybody, away from the big city but still at a certain distance so I could still visit sometime for shopping or something. Smiley

I love the quietness and peace of small towns, it really seems ideal.

That is so cool.  Thanks for the websight.  Good to use when I want to find a place to live in a small town.  Just go there and if it has 10000 people then thats not a small town.

i was born in Catlettsburg, KY ((population 1100)) and lived there till i was 9. I loved it but i didnt have anything to compare it to. Then, when i was 10 we moved to Jacksonville, FL. it was HUGE. it was fun at times..but now that we live in Loveland, CO ((population 5,000)) i realize that small towns are much cooler. i love the setting and the atmosphere. we have all the cute little shops and resteraunts. and its not like we're totally away from civilization. we're like 30 minutes out of down-town denver. i love it here. of course..i wouldd LOVE to live in Stars Hallow. its perfect.

I live in a moderate size town, but is very 'small minded'. I would NEVER live in a big city. I would hate it. I like the fact my kids teachers teached me, and I love the fact that our best friends live on the same street as us. Plus, I think that raising kids in a small town is much easier and less stressful. Plus I have a beautiful big back yard, you Torontoians aren't that lucky...

I was born and attended school in a small town in Illinois, population about 30,000. It wasn't a bad place to be a kid and grow up, but I escaped it and would never go back. It's a very pedantic and judgmental kind of place. I spent years in the Navy and have seen some of the world.

Now, I live in Los Angeles. Many of you think you know what it's like, but you are thinking of TV stereotypes. I live in a quiet neighborhood and leave my doors unlocked. The lady across the street walks the neighbors' dogs along with her own and scoops up their discourtesies into a plastic bag if necessary. I have a dwarf lemon tree in my yard and have invited the neighbors to help themselves to them and several do. We talk to each other, and my neighbor Tony took me in his truck to CostCo to pick up the set of patio furniture I bought. One afternoon, I was mowing my front lawn on a hot day, and Tony's son, John, came by in his truck and handed me a bottle of water.

It's a very friendly, community-oriented place.

But, if I want to go to a Dodgers game or Universal Studios or the Ronald Reagan Library or the Hollywood Bowl or find a Peruvian restaurant or a fabric store with 10,000 swatches in it for my wife to quilt or a better-than-New-York play or musical, it's all here. I can be in any of a hundred different worlds, all within Los Angeles, in about an hour. My neighbors are Puerto Rican, Indian, Mexican, and a couple of kids. They're all fun and interesting.

Going back to a small town would make me nuts in about 26 minutes. I love LA.

 Cool
