My favorite romantic scene on GG is when Lorelai went out with Luke in their first date after they had broken up, in the car when she said to him that he was luky she came back to his life . . that he was lost without her Then he looked at her this Soulful look and he answered " You bet !! " .  The way they looked at each other that night was just more than words !!!

I just love that scene ^^

I think Emily's definition of "loss" has more than one meaning. One is losing control. I think the other is the "softer" side, where she really does need to cling to her family. That especially came up when Richard was sick. It also came up when she and Richard separated. As you mentioned on a previous post, she tried going through the motions of dating but knew she needed and wanted Richard; they are like two sides of the same coin.

Yep . that's true but i meant another side of " loss ". When Richard told her that they've lost Rory . She said " No , I didn't lose her .. I'm not going to lose her untile she comes home pregnant  " .... What was with that ? I mean a girl gets pregnant when she is 16 is really not good but not to reach the " loss " part .. we should hug kids when they are afraid and in trouble not  through them in a worse place . So what is more important to Emily " Family or Pride " ?

I always got a kick out of watching Emily tremble in the presence of Gran/Trix/the Original Lorelai.

I think " Lor" feels the same way 
It did always amaze me how weak Emily is in Gran's presence !!

You Know what really is Funny about Emily ? The way Richard Proposed to her when they were young 

I have to say every guy Lorelai has ever dated has something special about him .
But Luke although I admit he was kinda cool for sometime , i didn't like the way he treated Lorelai . First he didn't tell her about April even though he had no proplem telling his sister . He always complain about everything, he doesn't believe in " Valentine's day " for God sake and he canselled their wedding.  all these things i might forgive but the way he left Lorelai walk away in the end of season 6 was just too much .
 Honestly I think he can make her happy for awhile but not for long.I don't think she was in love with him . She was in love with  being in love . She saw this Guy who waited to be with her for 8 long years .. one who she knows will be there for her and for Rory . Even she said in the "therapy session" in the season 6 finale that " when i knew how much he cared for Rory that was it , I knew i was ready " .
" He cares about Rory " , If you ask me this isn't the most romantic thing you'd say about someone you're madly in love with.

About Chris , I don't think he's good enough for Lorelai because she can't count on him . He's never there when she needs him. But i think he's the one she loves .  She always wants him around . When he was With Sherry she really was upset.. even in the end of season 6 when Emily was talking to her about how lonely he was and how Emily wanted to set him up with someone , Lorelai really Got Upset .. She almost got into a car accident . and she trusted him . She even said to him " I know you will always have my back " . He was the one she broke up with Max for . Anyhow I believe with no doubt she loves him.and he really understands her.

I think the one who really deserves Lorelai is Max . He was perfect for her . I loved how he talked about Faith, Love and Poetry as a whole . He sent her 1000 flowers . He was Funny too . That poor guy really loved her .
 I love when Lor said to him that she wanted him to Know her bad  qualities as well as the good ones . Then he said : " How thoughtfull of you . . It is you know 'cause i might think this woman is  absolutely  perfect " .
 it was  something like that 
I really was happy when he came back . . that was a cool episode ^^

I agree with " bingbong " about the statement lor made about how she didn't love him . She did love him . When they broke up she was in a bad shape and she was the one who came to his house and told him that she missed him .Not to mention how She listened to that first message he left in the phone like ten times.I think if she knew that Chris was with Sherry at that time she'd marry Max without thinking so much about it .

Ali-Sama , You reminded me of " Dark Angel " . I loved season 1 more than 2 . Can anyone love anyone more than how Zack loved Max !! He was one of a kind ^^

Emily also saw Rory as potentially becoming part of her own Hartford world and that was often part of her conflict with Lorelai. The cotillion is a good example and plenty of others. I think Emily genuinely wanted Rory to do all the things that Lorelai did not do. And for that period in season 6 Rory did temporarily transform into Emily Junior, when she became part of the DAR.

VERY TRUE and what proves that is in season 6 when Rory began to act like Lorelai , Emily Got angry and said " when YOUR FATHER comes home we will talk about what you did "  . . then Rory said : " you mean my GRANDFATHER !!! "

Also Emily feels she has lost Lorelai so She tried so hard not to lose Rory ( although I admit I don't understant the definition of loss by Emily's dictionary )  anyhow i was saying she needed not to lose Rory out of her pride because it will make her feel useless .

I loved " Charmed " . I have so much respect for that show 'cause you know after the third season you'd assume that the show is dead but they made it even better than before . . that was something 

I like " friends " too . Roswell was cool . and now and then i have this need to watch " Full House " again ( good old days  ) .

Yep, they didn't say a thing about Alex . I thought he was strange and a little boring but wanted to know him better ' cause Lorelai liked him and she always has a good reason for that  You know Sherry too disapeard although i know that was a part of the story but still i hate when people vanish oneday like they never existed 

Emily is a very proud person . She is Capable to love and forgive only in her terms . I think ( unlike Richard ) she loves Lorelai more than Rory . She loves Rory but at some point she's using her to make sure Lor will always stick around . Because where rory goes there will be Lorelai . Remember when Rory asked her grandparents to pay for Yale and for that Rory will go to dinner alone. Lorelai said when she knew that her mother ( Emily ) agreed because she knows that Lorelai won't leave Rory alone .

I like the moments of weakness that Emily went through because it showed us the real Emilly ( the one that hides behind all those walls ) like the moment when Lorelai gave her back the money she paid for Rory's highschool or the moment when Jason canseled  her party for their clients .. not to mention that moment when she went on a date then after she cried alone in her empty house.

Dave was a great guy . He reminds me so much of Jamie .

He was so much in love with Lane . He got into so much trouble to go out with her . I wonder why was he so eager to have her mother approval .. Why not just sneak out like Lane almost did with Hinrry 

Any how i think i liked him best in that episode when he kissed Lane   

He was too good to vanish like that . . He really deserved a classy exit 

Jamie was Cute ,Smart and True . He came from nowhere , wasn't intrested in Rory but in Paris ( that was weird ) . And he found everything Paris said OR did cute . You can tell he really loved her . I love every time he looked at Paris he was smiling ( and what a cute smile  ) .
I love when Rory was complaining to her mother about how Jamie was so nice to Paris but Paris treated him like nothing and how he deserves so much better THEN  Lor said " Let's not forget Dean "  . She was right you know , SAME STORY all over again .. Paris & Rory so much alike with Jamie & Dean !!

Any how Jamie WAS PERFECT . I loved him so much . Hope he find a nice girl for him

I could swear that they showd Lane's father but not sure when .. my guess it was in that episode when her parents decided to ship her off to Korea 

Back To Dave .. i loved him sooo much , he was a classic hero to me .in some point i wished if he was Rory's boyfriend just to see more of him . I loved that episode when Mrs.Kim made him play for hours and when he left, Lane followed him in tears because she thought she didn't deserve him or somthing then he KISSED her .. my heart was beating so hard .. i fell in love with him
He was SOO smart , how he planned all things just like in that dancing Contest when he talked about his parents taking Bible lessons .. Mrs.Kim went nuts

I thought That was TRUE LOVE by all means !!

yaa , specially that Scene when Lor enters her mom's house and Emily was lying there all blinde with her sun glasses on .. that was so funny

For example in the 2nd season when that guy moved into the house in the neighborhood and he was going out og town so he asked the gilmores to water his lawn. that was the last you saw of him!! i dont think he moved it never said that at all

wow , that's a very old episode as far as i remember he said when he first came that he wasn't staying long just untile her neighbors return from their trip . and thank God for that he was nuts 

next episode it was like he wasnt there at all. there was also that man who went to lorelai's bizness class. she went out with him and realized he was 2 young, but he still wanted to date her. however after that episode he was not mentioned again, even though her bizness class was not done. does anyone know what happened to them??

I don't know about him but do you remember when he came to Luke's with his mom & dad . lorelai was very  humiliated . Poor thing after that i'm not surprised if she sees him ever again she 'll go the other way ^^
