Tennischic, I wish I had some advice, but I'm not that great with guy stuff, so I just hope it works out for you! So, I've got another problem with the boy next door. I've talked to him a few times to seeif he needs a ride somewhere (he doesn't drive yet, and we are both in marching band so I've offered him rides after practice and stuff). Last weekend he was sick, so I made him cookies and took them to his house. Then saturday night we were at this band thing and I talked to him for a little while about school and band and stuff (the first time we've talked about something other than if he needs a ride somewhere ). The problem is, I always have to go talk to him, he never approaches me. Should I just give up and leave him alone, or should I assume he is just a typical (aka kind of slow on the uptake) boy and keep trying? And if I keep trying, what should I do next?

Thanks for the advice! I sort of followed it, but not really. My sister and I just "boo-ed" a few houses (which is where you leave a bucket of candy, ring the doorbell, and run), and one of the houses was his. So he doesn't know that it was me that came to his house, since we didn't get caught (and I was dressed in all black with stripes painted on my face, which would have looked kind of weird if we had gotten caught ). Maybe if I get lucky he'll guess that it was me and he'll ask me about it

Hey guys. I haven't been on this thread in a loooong time, but I have a problem. So, I live next door to a boy, but I don't really know him, as in I didn't know he existed until about a month ago, and I've only talked to him once. I kind of like him, and I really want to get to know him (especially since it would be really nice to have a friend who lives right next door to me), but I'm kind of shy and bad at meeting new guys. I don't know what I should do, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice. I needed some outside perspective, but I didn't want to tell any of my friends because i was worried that it was creepy for me to like someone younger, but I feel better now. I'll probably let it be for now until next year when we are both in high school.

I have a little bit of a dilema. I'm in 10th grade and I think I might like a guy who is in 8th grade. Is that freaky weird, or is it not enough of an age difference to be that big of a deal?

If anyone's looking for some good books, i would strongly recommend A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray (its actually the first book in a trilogy, the next ones are Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing). These books are really amazing, they're about this girl who has these visions and then she finds out about the Order, which was like an ancient secret society, and I can't even really say that much about them without giving to much away. They're just so good, and the author has a really witty type of sense of humor that fits with the books really well, and I'm going to stop now because theses books are so good I could talk about them for hours. (and if you think the plot sounds cheesy, its really not, I just can't describe it well enough to do it justice)
