Wow - thank you Lori for this update.  It is weird to think about suffering with breathing like that. Wow. And ash raining down.  I will take my extreme arctic cold, i guess. And the flooded basement with our big rains here.   Rain Lightning Rain That sounds more manageable to me. That does not sound bad at all right now.

God Bless All
Zeddie

And for your  Flame Flame Flame  here is what i would send  Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain Cloud Cloud Cloud

Well, i was talking about Wisconsin to a few people, saying it is nice and moist and that we have the cold but at least you don't have to worry about things going up like kindling. I even commented to someone that you can toss a butt onto the yard with no result.  But then the weatherman reminded me of something...

the WEATHER MAN was putting the California fires into perspective and said the area (670 square miles) would include the entire metro area of Milwaukee. Ouch. That seemed like a lot.

Then, he mentioned the famous Great Peshtigo Fire of 1871. (Peshtigo, WI - i had relatives living there for a while)  The Peshtigo Fire was the worst such disaster in American history with almost 1900 sq. miles burned and 1200 - 2400 people dead. (Most of Wisconsin is forest) So, i just wanted to correct my earlier statements. Duh, how could i forget this famous tragedy. I guess there were no planes to put it out in 1871.

I guess when you have forest and brush - you have this potential - i guess any part of the country can have any type of disaster at any time. For example, the worst fault line is not even on the West Coast - it is along the Mississippi. And now, we have droughts down South? Very strange.

Well, i stand corrected.  Forgive my ignorance. Thank you.

Ok, where did everyone go then? I have been watching the CA fires, worried about people there - so sad for them - and i know many do live out there.  Just wondering how everyone is. thanks.

Lorid, that is very cool i will check it out, but more importantly, have you escaped fire to your neighborhood?

PLEASE GIVE AN UPDATE ON THE CALIFORNIA FIRE SITUATION RE: FORUM READERS HERE. I will go to over 30, etc too - i know many of you live there and i have been fretting about this along with the rest of the country that has been watching in horror!

GOD BLESS AND BE SAFE.

Lorid-

(SEE LAUREN GRAHAM NOTE BELOW)

YOU MUST get into the computer age! I too was an idiot,   Shocked EVEN THO i am a whiz at editing - both linear and nonlinear(nonlinear being computer) - but i never learned to do the SIMPLE computer stuff, like opening a document. Computer people always attempt to make us feel SO DUMB just because they had Computer Training at the local retard school.  HA. i say back to them. "Yes, well, i have other talents, and by the way, could you edit a major motion picture, because I COULD." So i can't read a stupid email SO WHAT. It's just crap in there anyway...." SPAM and other mystery meats.  Undecided

HEY - HEY HEY - i happened to be reading the last page of InStyle Magazine - July 2007 issues, (Yeah, ok, i grabbed it from off the floor on my way to the crapper, so what of it...) WELLLL who do you think i found on that last page? LAUREN GRAHAM giving her comments about STUFF - SO - if you happen to have a copy of ..

InStyle July 2007 - go to the end page to find Lauren Graham's picture and comments.  ACTUALLY IT IS PAGE 208 right near the end. AND

SHE MAKES A WONDER WOMAN REFERENCE!  ok, i realize i am MONTHS late on this, but until i start flipping back to front, i never make it back there on magazines. If this is old news, sue me...   Tongue

I am truly sorry to hear about the various ailments. And yeah, boob sweat is THE WORST.
LATER.

WOW THIS IS VERY COOL that you are reviewing. I know i was one person who had this idea before the series ended also, SO - i am therefore very happy that others had the same thought and wanted to start it over too! Good! This means we can all be on the same page and share in the energy.  Cheesy I am just finding out for EPISODE 5 of Season 1 Redo, but hey = better late than never. So, THANK YOU to whomever organized this. Nice.

Not sure how much i will comment, etc, but i still enjoy this idea.

Cheers.

Last night as i left the Panera bread restaurant with a modest salad, i met a old friend entering. His name is John, he is a local on-air weather talent. At first he thought i was just some "fan" who recognized him, then i had to tell him who i was.  Then he remembered me, though it has been like 20 years! I must have looked like crap to him. He looked really good, so i think he MUST have had face work done! Why not, if you are on the air.

His piece was looking better also. HEHEHE. We chatted just for 30 seconds - TOO HOT to even stand outside.  He had run into some other old cronies at our State Fair. And we both echoed the sentiment of some others on this thread.

"We are still alive!"
"Yeah, we're all still around somewhere..."

It was sort of comforting. Although, i still think he had face work.  Tongue

Immediately after facelift   Cool

Bad facelift   Undecided

Ok, old joke, have played it before. HEY = Lorid i bought some of those MBT shoes - but i think they sold me the wrong size! In fact i am quite sure they did.

Hey y'all   World

i went to the mall and was wandering around at the Walmart and they finally came from the home to collect me. WHEW. What an adventure! The water at Walmart is served in these BIG porcelain bowls - but you have to be quick because all of a sudden they just swirl away! It is crazy!  Coffee Coffee Coffee  i need coffee.

i am gonna go back and scan a few entries.

THANKS FOR BEING ALIVE!

And all my compassion to Minnesota for that terrible bridge incident.  If you know KATIE from Minnesota = (young person) give her a shout out -( i am gonna leave her a message)

Lorid - glad you had a great birthday and time with your daughter. That's swell.

And i could relate to the air conditioner story! Me too! I finally bought a nice light compact one so i don't need the towel anymore.

Well, my brain has been melting here - very hot and humid. And i have a lot to do. I cannot spend time on the forum really, but i miss you guys so i wanted to say hello - i am still alive. Obviously i can't "catch up" on the stories and comments, so this is just to say..

HELLO AND GOD BLESS.  Smiley

Take care then.  Hearts

Yeah, the top one is the one i meant. with the two of them and the cat. Pretty obvious they are doing a parody - but to me it does not work because it's so far off from their eating habbits (maybe not skipping breakfast due to bad eating habbits, but eating healthy - a foreign concept. Therefore i am almost offended by the commercial/concept. I don't know if that is rational but...  And i don't know if Special K is considered all that healthy. I am sure it has some preservatives or wheat or whatever. Many people are naturally allergic to wheat and milk too.  Or is it RICE? I'm so CONFUSED. The fruit is ok.  But as a type O i would prefer red meat for breakfast.  Grin Definitely.

I am also bordering on moving on from GG as well.  Hello to Lorid - thanks for the story. Wow, quite an outting!

Speaking of sugar, what do we think about the SPECIAL K COMMERCIALS that mimic GG - Sure, after all that sugar and coffee crap NOW they have these women portraying L/R and eating a sensible low-cal breakfast? Weird. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
14  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Fans over 30 on: June 18, 2007, 04:56:13 pm
Zeddie, say it isn't so Huh
Undecided Are u saying that Greys goes into the crapper much like GG did in season 6 Huh  I do agree that losing Burke stinks to high heaven!  They are ACTORSSSSS, who cares about what they do or say in real life Huh Huh Huh  This is the problem with actors thinking we want to know more about them.  Especially,  if you are gay but play a romantic lead.  Who can buy it at that point?  Didn't the dude say he was sorry a billion times plus go to some counseling over it? It seems in America we have fogotten how to forgive.  Honestly, I am not even sure what the guy said?  But, to lose your job over it!? Again, I am a big believer in freedom of speech even if you are saying something I can't stand.  This is because I want to be able to say what I belive without anyone telling me I can't.  What is happening to this right in America?  That is more scary to me then terriosts!  Lips Sealed
What do you mean Addison is getting her own show, ewww!  OK, now I am bumming out!
PS: No Zeddie, Picket Fences is created by  David E. Kelley, pinky sware  Tongue

Thoughts about Gilmore Girl's movie:  Hmmm, I am not happy with the way it ended, last season was written and frankly how the audience was treated.  I think Lauren Grahm had no intention of ever doing the next season nor did Alexis.  I think they made it sound like it so in the end they were not portrayed as the bad guys.  I do understand being burnt out and all that good stuff; however, I do feel this was really a fan based driven show.  Having an 8 espisode season to tie everything up would have been a great comprimise that would have left everyone happy.  I also think Pallidino should have come back.  Frankly, she should'nt have left.  Of course, I would watch it, buy it etc.  but I am still not super happy with the way this all went down

Ok, i came back here to CORRECT MYSELF regarding David E. Kelley then i saw your post, assuming you'd correct me...- i saw it on ET or something. BUT - that does not change fact that i have seen it advertised as a creation of David Lynch = even on the Internet right before i wrote it. WHAT IS THE DEAL THEN? Did BOTH of them work on Picket Fenses? Did one do a pilot and one a movie or something? I am truly confused because i mean, i remember conversations with people about David Lynch and Picket Fenses - blah blah - even from one director at a workshop.  I just can't say anything more about it, since like i said, now i see BOTH MEN creditied with "Picket Fenses" - does anyone know any more about this weirdness? OR - is this a common misconception and so-called "experts" are comments erroneously?

I just HAPPENED to overhear these two actors (females) talking about PF and then DEK. and my ears perked up.

THANKS. I will respond to OTHER stuff later.

No crap tho, i even checked the internet to make sure i wasn't just goofy - that those conversations with people (&director)were not just my stupid memory. Boy - i don't know if i could recover WHERE i saw this in "print" - not that you can trust the internet.  That was not the origin of my belief - it was from other people in the business. PERHAPS = perhaps someone misspoke one day and the "legend" was born? I have to fess - i don't have cable - so i only see stuff when i visit someone or TRAVEL.
At any rate, i apologize for "correcting" you tully. And i am still scratching my head. People who WATCH will of course know because of the credits listed. However,  Does anyone know if those two guys worked together ever? Well, DEAD HORSE at this point.

Later.
15  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Fans over 30 on: June 16, 2007, 03:41:29 pm
Hello tully.
Loved Grey's at first - don't love all that has happened. Hate the controversy.
Like that sleuth one too yeah! found it a while ago.
Men in trees - is that coming back? I liked it better AT FIRST. All these shows have to have infidelity or "old girlfriend syndrome" or whatever - it gets boring and old and depressing. PLUS there was controversy there too! The lead characters dumped their spouses to become dirty mistresses together.  Angry

PICKET FENSES = DAVID LYNCH not David E. Kelley. Easy mistake i guess. I love both guys as creative types.

Today i watched 2 Rocky movies on TV. I felt sick after mowing the lawn - grass allergy. Wasted day. Crap.  Tongue

Well, i have just DELETED my rant about how i now HATE Grey's Anatomy on many levels for many reasons. What's the point. I have to stop caring and stop all negativity, which means i should take my TV's out back and blow them up - and then the computer next.

Have a wonderful life..........
