1  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: ASP's newest show Bunheads airs on ABC Family in June on: June 12, 2012, 02:52:35 am
The first episode premiered tonight (well, last night) and it was wonderful. Almost felt like an alternate reality of Gilmore Girls. Kelly Bishop is in it and plays a very different character from Emily Gilmore, but with a surprisingly similar relationship dynamic to the main character. Even the actress that played Gypsy is in it! The dialog is fast and witty and funny, it has quirky townsfolk... it really feels like it takes place in the same world as Gilmore Girls. I'm glad to see ASP back in fine writing form! Cheesy

Finally, Amy is back with a new show! And on a channel that is already a proven fit for her (ABC Family airs reruns of GG). The premise found on IMDB sounds interesting!

"Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl marries a man on a whim and moves to his sleepy coastal town where she winds up working alongside her new mother-in-law at her dance school."

In an interview ASP said this was important to her because she was a dancer for many, many years and knows that world inside and out.

Damn it! I was looking forward to The Damn Thorpes! Argh!

Do we know anything about ASP's project at HBO?

I just read about this as well! I'm excited! It sounds interesting. But so does her other project in development for HBO.

What happens if BOTH shows get picked up? How will she stretch herself between two shows? Yikes.
5  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: Parenthood premieres tonight!!! on: March 23, 2010, 09:45:45 pm
I tried the first episode . . . It was okay . . . . but I didn't bother with the second episode. The only reason I thought I might was because of LG. I love her so much. But the rest of the show bored the crap out of me. I was really only watching it for her scenes. Maybe if it makes it as far as a whole season I'll watch the season on DVD and start watching the second season.
6  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: What other TV shows do GG fans watch? on: December 21, 2009, 12:00:43 am
I like Glee! I've only seen the pilot though. Sad I'll catch it on DVD.

I watch Parks & Recreation religiously, along with 30 Rock. And I've recently gotten into Samantha Who (because of Melissa "Sookie" McCarthy!) and Pushing Daisies.

I've been looking forward to Eastwick since I heard that Matt Dallas (Kyle XY) was going to be in it. He's dreamy.

So I tried to read the book . . . I didn't enjoy it.

BUT now that I know Rebecca  Romaijn is in it AND it's filling in "Stars Hollow" . . . I CAN'T WAIT!
9  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / ASP's new project! on: August 30, 2009, 11:59:58 pm
The Late Bloomer's Revolution . . . it's apparently based on a book. It appears to be a movie that she's writing/directing/producing.

The imdb page for the show Let It Go was updated June 16, 2009 and it still says PreProduction . . .

Won't be picked up? They haven't even shot the pilot yet. Why won't it be picked up?
12  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: The Kims on Grey's Anatomy on: May 25, 2009, 05:31:31 am
You think that's weird? Imagine how strange it was for me to see two GG gueststars in Stars Hollow's town square on a completely different show (Terminator) recently. Crazy.

I'm not really understanding when this pilot is shooting . . . She said something about doing the pilot WHILE she was on Broadway . . . does that mean she is shooting it for next fall?
14  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: Shelly Cole: In Person Portland, OR, Sat. Feb. 21 7:15 Hollywood Theater on: February 26, 2009, 07:12:22 pm
Damn it!

I LIVE in Portland and go to the Hollywood Theater all the time! I wish I hadn't missed this, I would have LOVED to meet Shelly and tell her how much I missed Madaline and Louise! Grrr!
15  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: Gilmore Girls Set on: February 26, 2009, 07:09:56 pm
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles films on that set. A few episodes back they shot in Luke's Dinner (but it had been changed to look more like a run of the mill dinner and NOT a former hardware store).

Strangely, in the most recent episode they shot at the town square but the gazebo was gone. And in that same scene were the actors that played Rune (now playing a mysterious bad guy) and the Reverend (now playing a Reverend, hmph) and . . . grr. I forgot. There were three old Stars Hollow-ians. I should rewatch the episode.
