I am so glad I have a place to go to connect with other people (especially fans of my favorite show!) since due to the situation I am in with my daughter I haven't had the opportunity to get out a lot a form friendships. Speaking of that great mother/daughter bond that is GG, one of my favorite episodes is on abcfamily tomorrow..."Incredible Shrinking Lorelais". Watching our girls get so busy with life that they keep missing opportunites to connect with each other is sooooo like real life. Anyone with teenagers?? When they each have their prospective meltdowns it's so touching (especially since Lorelai is so in charge of her emotions normally) and it's nice to know that even the strongest of people can crack from stress. Shocked I can't wait to see how Lorelai is going to deal with the latest stress in her life when the new season begins. See I respect the sprees and those from other countries who haven't seen season 6 yet! Have a great day!!! Grin

Hi! I'm Lori and I'm 42!!I'm also a single mom of a daughter who will be 16 in November. Man I feel old! We watch GG together and I use it as a tool for improving communication with my daughter. I'm so glad I'm not the oldest fan here! My only child and I are working on having a more "Gilmore" relationship because Lorelai and Rory have so much respect and love for each other and there is TRUST with them. My daughter has had severe mental illness (Bipolar Disorder) since she was 3 and in and out of hospitals since she was 6! Gilmore Girls is very therapeutic. I tell my daughter that we need to have that kind of relationship. I want her to know that I am there for her no matter what happens in life. So, yes, I am a huge GG fan because it has brought me HOPE as well as laughter. And it has brought me and my daughter together. Three cheers for us old geezers! We TOTALLY get the pop references. Have a great week everyone! Grin

Thanks for the welcome! I figured that if on the odd chance I DID win I would definitely write about the experience on the forum although I would probably need help posting any pictures!Lol! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi! This is my first time posting so please bear with me. I'm new at this. The ABCfamily Gilmore Girls Guru contest went on from July 24 to August 6, 2006 so it's too late to enter now. I'm a huge fan so I entered every day of the contest (you could only enter once a day) and if I win I'll let you all know! The winner will be notified on August 22. I hope I do this post right. I'm a 42year old woman with very little computer experience. Have a great week everyone! Grin
