Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Man I haven't seen that movie in forever! Although I did watch Rebel Without A Cause recently. Gotta love James Dean. Oh and I've had the stupid Pippi Longstocking theme song stuck in my head ALL DAY! I can't stop singing it! I'm going crazy! My sister's parrot is named Pippi so I can't get the song out of my head! Aaaaarrgh! The sad part is I know all the freakin' words!

Wow! Awesome article and awesome pictures! It's so great to see Lauren again. I hope Birds Of America is released in theaters soon cause I really want to see it. I'll bet Lauren is amazing in it. It also sounds from her interview, that she really did have a hard time letting go of Gilmore Girls as she was " full of conflicted feelings about Gilmore Girls coming to an end" and, having just finished shooting the final episode, "still hadn't even become used to not having to be up at six every morning." Lauren is a very private person and probably wanted to process all those emotions without being under the watchful eye of the media, so she made it seem like she was fine with it ending in all her interviews. Thanks Lovefiend for posting that interview. It was awesome. Oh and Michelle, those pictures rock! Until next time, have a great day everyone! Lori

In regards to the previous post by LGfan4ever I seriously doubt Lauren was pregnant. I don't know where this info came from but it seems incorrect. Lauren was working her butt off on the 7th season of Gilmore girls and probably getting exhausted (hence no 8th season) but she went and made at least two movies back to back as soon as it finished. She's been to premieres and out of town and is getting ready to film another movie. I highly doubt she is depressed and she's not pregnant. She has also joked about her pale Irish skin. After 7 seasons of a TV show, I would think she would WANT to lay low for a while and relax before delving into other projects. Like I said, I don't know where this info is coming from so, unless LFfan4ever knows Lauren personally and sees her every day, I wouldn't put too much stock into it. Have a great day everyone! Lori

Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: 2nd Annual Secret Santa: Because we're just that festive!

Sooks: I posted about my trip on page 16 so go back and you'll see. I just got the pictures from my trip back and they're so cool! I wish I knew how to put them on my computer and post them, then I could e-mail them to my family and friends. I took a picture of the gift I sent my Secret Santa, (it was a pastel portrait I did of Lauren and Alexis that came out really good), and I would post the photo here but I don't know how. I have my pictures on a photo CD. My Secret Santa has already received her gift so it's ok that I say I what sent since I'm not giving anything away. I basically took the photo for me because I have no proof of my artistic talent. Everything I paint or draw I give away! Since the portrait looks just like them, I decided to take a picture to put in a portfolio so I can show off my work if I decide to sell any of my paintings/drawings. Hey! Maybe I could use my art talent to raise money for a home for me and my daughter! I'd have to sell an awful lot of pieces to make the money I'd need but you never know! I'm nothing if not resourceful! Have a great day everyone! Peace and love, Lori

Lovefiend: I think Lorelai, Rory, Sookie and Babette would definitely be flattered to have chickens named after them! The chickens actually belong to my neighbor and he didn't care that I named them cause he doesn't call them anything. They just have such cool personalities that I kind of adopted them, like Lauren adopted a chicken, only mine are still alive. Wait, not all of them are alive. Patty and Tilly were killed by a dog last year. I found out about it the day they cancelled GG. It was a dark day I tell you! Then Bob got little tiny chicks and I watched them grow up and named them. So that's the story of the Gilmore Chickens! QueenB: A PrettyStick to you! Thanks for offering me your non existent crapshack! You totally rock! My daughter has been living at a residential facility because of severe mental illness and school problems for two years. She's doing much better now and I want to bring her home once I find a place for us to live. I want to thank the Org for doing Secret Santas. Participating in this really brightened my usually depressing holidays. Creating my artwork to give, and receiving a meaning gift, was a major highlight for me. It's hard to have your only child be so far away and not be able to see her every day. Getting the chance to take her on vacation was precious to us both and the greatest gift. Gilmore Girls has saved our relationship and brought us closer together. I will definitely participate in Secret Santas here next Christmas! Until next time... Live passionately , love unconditionally , laugh often and always have an attitude of gratitude! Thank you, my Org friends! Lori

My Secret Santa was: *Katie* and she sent me six cute snowmen ornaments/figurines. They are so cute and have a special meaning to her that I have yet to find out about. Since I live in Southern California, I don't see snow (unless I go up to the mountains) and so these snowmen are a reminder of growing up in New York (Long Island) and of Gilmore Girls, cause we all know what snow means to Lorelai! Thank you again Katie. I love my gift! Happy New Year to everyone! Lori Just cause I love the dancing chicken! Lol! I have 4 chickens that live next door to me and I named them Lorelai, Rory, Sookie and Babette according to their personalities. They are the Gilmore Chickens and they love me! They come to the backyard fence when I call them and say "Hi" to me in their own special chicken way. Lorelai has managed to escape the yard, flying over the fence into mine, and I had to chase her and catch her twice! Let me tell you, chasing and catching chickens is not easy! Anyway... have a great day everyone! P.S. I would post a picture of my gift, but I just received a digital camera for Christmas and have no idea how to use it yet! Oh and I did take my daughter to see the family in N.Y. and she had a great time visiting family and friends. We even went into the city and toured Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum! She was so excited to have her picture taken with her favorite celebrities. I even endured days of shopping with my mother, the Emily Gilmore of my life, with not too much twitching and only one meltdown on my part. All in all, it was a great trip and now my daughter wants to get out of the residential facility she's in and come home. There's only one problem... I don't have a home for her to come home to, (I'm a live-in caregiver for an elderly lady and can't bring my daughter into her home) or a way to pay for an apartment, so my goal this year is to find a way to get an apartment so I can bring my daughter home for good. Anyone have a Crapshack they want to rent out for a single mom and her teenaged daughter? Have a prosperous New Year everyone! I'm counting my blessings and I know my needs will be fulfilled. I have faith that I will have a home one day to bring my daughter home to. Peace and love to everyone! Lori

Happy New Year everyone! As to the previous question... Lauren is a Pisces, being born March 16. Lorelai's birthday is sometime in April, according to when "Happy Birthday Baby" was shown, so she is either an Aries or a Taurus depending on when in April her birthday is. We never found out, unlike Rory's October 8th birthday. I do numerology and I've done Lauren's chart according to her name and birth date. If anyone is interested in knowing what I found out let me know and I'll try to summarize it here. I did my own numerology chart and it is very accurate. It even coincides with my astrological chart. I could only do a partial chart on Lorelai because we don't know her birth date. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year filled with prosperity and joy. Until next time... Live passionately, love unconditionally, laugh often and Happy New Year! Lori

Hey everyone! I just thought I'd let you know that Lauren has done another commercial voice over! It's for Mastercard Plum (oh my god! it just came on TV right now as I'm typing! What are the odds?) The Pinkberry one where she talks about the owners making more of their "swirly goodness"! Apparently Pinkberry is an ice cream/ frozen yogurt place. You can't mistake her voice. I've seen the commercial many, many, times! Anyone else catch it? Yay Lauren! I love to at least hear her voice on TV. Have a great day everyone. Lori

Sooks and Katie, thanks for the well wishes. I really appreciate them. *WHACK with a pretty stick to you both*. I've decided that I'm taking my daughter with me to New York whether the facility approves or not. I will make my case to them but then I'm going to take her next week. My child deserves some happiness and Santa Mom is going to make it happen! I may be poor, but I have more love in my heart than all the money in Fort Knox. I will give my daughter all that I have and we will share our "Gilmore Girls" Christmas cause that's what my daughter wants. She wants us to have a relationship like Lorelai and Rory and that's what I'm giving her... the best friend she never had. Besides, I'm just as wacky and fun as Lorelai. We are so going to string popcorn and cranberries, although I don't think my parents would want numerous Christmas trees in their house. I'll have to post the results of our "Gilmore Christmas" here if you guys want to know how it went. Until next time... Live passionately , love unconditionally , laugh often and give from the heart ! Lori
