Ha, let's hope it's not like The Family Stone, lol! Good movie, by the way.

Just 15 more days until the election is OVER! I can't wait! I can't wait!
Man, the election came a year too early. I want to vote!  USA

Need another tattoo - what will it be this time?? Hmmmm....
What do you think you'll get? I'm thinking of getting one, but when I do it'll be when I'm 20 or something.

Hey Kam, I'm sorry about your aunt. Were you close to her? She's somewhere better and my uncle tells me "it's not her [my sister] loss, it's ours", but it totally relates to you, too. They're both experiencing bliss and to keep strong we need to remember that we'll see them again.
I'm going to watch Saw V, too, and Religulous (out of curiousity) that same night because I am not paying for that one. Nope! :Smiley I'm not gonna watch it on Friday though because I think I'm going to Horror Nights. Are you? The Strangers are there this year! Ahh!

Thanks guys. It's just hard, you know, because she was a part of my everyday life. I kind of have that on the back burner, though, because it's my senior year and I can't mess up, and I know my sister wouldn't want that either. I'm doing okay, though, school's keeping me busy. I'm serious, the transition from being a junior to a senior was huge. It's so different! The whole feel of it, it's like "it's time to stop playing with toys", you know? Well the game just started so I gotta go! Dodgers, baby!!

Hey, I havenít really been around because, umÖmy sister passed away on Saturday, August 30th. She had that surgery in the beginning of July and the week after she was doing so incredibly well, guys, and there was even talk of her going home. But then she went back up to ICU with an unexplained pneumonia and about a week later she got ARDS on top of that. The doctors didnít even know how it happened nor did they know why she wasnít getting better, even in the end (an autopsy was done). The doctors thought that her brain tumor was causing the problems but they didn't know (they wanted to do an MRI but it just couldnít be done). In the end of July, the doctors were telling us that she was only going to last a few more days and she lasted a whole month longer. She was the strongest person I knew. Me and my family, weíre strong, despite all that we've been through (we consider ourselves veterans in the whole hospital/sickness thing because my sister was not the first in the family) weíre still strong believers in Christ. Iím stronger in my faith than I was before this happened. I prayed and prayed and prayed for my sister to get better, we all did, but it was her time, and itís better this way. I mean, donít get me wrong, I want to wake up in the morning and I want to see my sister again, but sheís somewhere so wonderful right now, so beautiful, so amazing, that itís beyond what our minds can think up, and Iím happy that sheís not suffering anymore. I canít believe that last June we were living life normally and just hanging out, you know, we never thought that this would happen. We werenít close when I was younger because I was growing up and we would argue a lot, but this last year of her life we got really close and she was my friend, she was my best friend. Iím thankful that God gave us that closeness and that friendship in the end. I miss her so much, but Iíll see her again.†

Hey people! So, I went to camp and I just got back last Thursday. It was fun! The dance, midieval dinner, the WOLP (Wilderness Outdoor Leadership Program) Olympics, and the WOLP hike were my favorite things. The olympic games were human foosball and this game called Prisoner. My 'country' won foosball and we would have won Prisoner if the teams were equal. But hey, even though we were at a disadvantage, we were tied in the end (they won in overtime), hence our gold medal in teamwork. What's cool about the hike is that after you hike out, it just like a hang out. There's nothing planned, you just do what you want to do. Then the next day we have a mud fight. Midieval dinner was crazy, it was hilarious! No couth, no utencils, people were yelling to pass the "cream tomatoes", it was wild. Cheesy Ahhh, I love camp.†

Aw Mel, that sucks. I want to go, too, but it is expensive. Have you tried ebay? That Breaking Dawn concert, I wanted to go so bad, and that's how I got to go. I didn't think I was gonna win and I did, so you should try, you never know. And how was your vacation? Where'd you go again?

Katy, I just read your post so you already went to the interview. How'd it go? I'll still pray about it.

Hey Kami! Dude, that class just sounds hard. Congrats on being done! Keep us updated with the computer guy and tell me when you finish Breaking Dawn, or any of the other ones.

Ali, you're in tennis now?? You're always doing something new. How was your first match?

School's already starting like in two weeks, my orientation is tomorrow. I'm trying to change one of my classes to theatre/drama. Oh yeah, I'm all into that now. My mom told me to get my feet wet first and if I like it, then she'll put me in acting classes and get me a coach and stuff.
Oh, anyone watch Pineapple Express? Me and my mom went to watch that and Step Brothers last Saturday. Step Brothers was funny but Pineapple was hilarious!
22  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Reading Thread - Cause it's still sexy! on: August 06, 2008, 03:02:24 am
Aw cool, I've always wanted to be in a book club. I'm in! Cool Hmm, I only know a few on the list...I kind of want to read Harry Potter, Twilight is way famous (I read it twice but I'd read it again. Grin And Mel suggested that one? Does that mean you like it? Wink), haven't read the Notebook but I like a good love story, and I've heard of Crime and Punishment but I don't really know what it's about (And with a title like that? Cheesy). I'm gonna look into the other ones I don't know. Ahh decisions, decisions.

I want to read the Kite Runner. Maybe after our first book is done we can put that one in for the next time we vote.

Woah, I missed a lot on this thread. Let's see...

1.† I survived the earthquake.† This was my thought process during the quake.† "Whoa, earthquake.† ::10 seconds later::† Wow, medium-sized earthquake.† ::10 seconds later::† Eesh, big earthquake."

3.† The Dodgers just acquired Manny Ramirez.† That might not mean a lot to non-baseball fans, but it's a good thing for me and my season tickets.† Be happy for me.
1. I survived the earthquake, too. I was scared and all alone! (While watching Gilmore Girls!)

3. Yup, Manny Ramirez, I'm right there with you. Wait...season tickets? You have season tickets?? Shocked

I have some friends who honestly want to get The Big One over with.† They can't stand wondering if it's going to happen five minutes from now, five years from now, or fifty years from now.
What is this 'Big One'?

So I retract it and claim to be Switzerland in this instance.
Twilight reference!† High Five

I like the "What Have You Been Up To?" and the Scuzzle threads. It all sounds good, though. And Mel's idea about .org memories/moments, I like that one.[/color]

Happy birthday, Kami!!Hope it was fun! What'd you do? Hey, have you read Breaking Dawn, yet? Oh my goodness, Kami, you must PM me! I loved it! And guess what, I got some tickets on ebay for the Breaking Dawn concert in L.A. (this Thursday). WOOOO!! Dance

Mel, that graphic is NICE. I like it! Especially the font.

Hey Ali, welcome back!

Hi Marlies!! I like your pictures, they're all really good! I miss you! Smiley

So, back to the license plates for a second. I saw one today that said STPP H8N. Cheesy It was funny because me and my cousin were tailgating it trying to get a picture with my phone. We didn't, but it was pretty fun following it. Cheesy
26  Gilmore Girls / Relationship Threads / Re: Literati (Rory and Jess) - He looked it up on: July 15, 2008, 11:01:51 pm
I think it's nice. If it's a rumor, cool, and it's not, that's cool too. She must make him happy, so that's nice. The only thing I don't agree with is the quickness. I'm all about taking it slow.

And what's this hating Robert Pattinson? I think he's a great choice and Catherine knows what she's doing. Everyone's not gonna be happy because everyone imagined Bella and Edward differently. Stephenie approves of both Kristen and Rob and her characters are like, her babies, so if she approves, then everything's not so bad. Wink

MAGGIE!! Where've you been?? Smiley
27  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: We are the SPREES! - The Spoiler Free Thread on: July 14, 2008, 11:50:09 pm
Hi Mel. My sister is doing good, thanks for asking. Smiley We didnít really even know what to expect at all, after the surgery, and it was pretty scary. We didn't know whether she was gonna be able to talk still or even breathe on her own and the first day she couldnít, but she got her breathing tube taken out the next day and that was what was keeping her from talking so that was justÖamazing. Sheís in rehab right now because it was brain surgery and it left her kind of messed up coordination-wise. Her body needs to learn how to walk again and stuff like that, so sheís there to get back to normal and strong again. I go to the hospital everyday and Iím just praying that sheíll get stronger and healthier everyday. I know she'll bounce back from this. Sheís the strongest person I know.
Oh, you should definitely read Twilight! Iíve successfully converted my cousin into a Twilighter. He read it in class and he didnít like it and I told him that heís insane and mustnít have been paying attention because itís great! Plus, I told him that chicks would dig it. Cheesy
No, I havenít dyed my hair, yet. I want a certain color and Iím having a hard time finding it. Iíve seen a couple girls with a color close to it and I didnít ask them what color it was, but next time, thatís not happening. Nothing really new and exciting, no. Iím going to camp next month, does that count? Iím excited about that because Iím going with my two best camp buds and we havenít been to summer camp all together in a couple years. I canít wait!
And youíre sick? Aw, well I hope you feel better. Have you watched any good movies with all the extra time? Thatís usually what I do when Iím sick, or I read. Today I watched Moulin Rouge and I haven't watched that movie in forever! Since I'm at the hospital everyday, I order a couple movies when I'm there and they have a good selection. I forgot how much I liked it. Smiley

Ali, I havenít gone to a dance since junior high! Cheesy Whatever, though. I donít want to go but if it were up to me I wouldnít do anything, so, itís good. Hopefully youíll be around before August. Have a good time!

Hey Kami!! Sounds like you had fun, but wait, a rodeo? lol That sounds interesting. Cheesy Good to have you back, I missed you!

Hi, Steph. Wow, itís been a long time. No, I donít have facebook. Thatís more a college frenzy around here. Howís the camp volunteering going? Are you a counselor? Suggestions for a job, uh, Iíve always wanted to work at a movie theatre so Iíd say that! Wink

How did this obsession start? Cheesy And I gotta go! I think I hear footsteps! Shocked

Talk to you later, Ines. (And read your post, too!)
29  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: For the Younger Fans- The Kiddies; The Kids; The Future. on: July 03, 2008, 02:04:29 am
I cannot play soccer for my life. Other sports I'm pretty good at it, it's just the whole controlling the ball with my feet that I can't master. I don't really watch it, either. So Ines, fill me in please.

Well, it depends on where they live. Like, I don't talk the way someone from Tennessee talks, you know?
30  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: For the Younger Fans- The Kiddies; The Kids; The Future. on: July 03, 2008, 01:49:28 am
Oh cool, I've never been to a spa before. Who'd you go with?

Mel, I know what you mean! I hear myself sometimes and I'm like, "What the hell?". lol My math teacher last year told us that we actually don't sound anything like we think we sound and that's crazy! It's fascinating.
