Random scooplets: 'SVU,' 'Greek,' 'Gilmore Girls,' 'HIMYM,' and more!Jun 1, 2009, 03:06 PM | by Michael Ausiello

Gilmore Girls: Nope, the show isn't returning. And I don't have an update on a possible movie. I do, however, have good news for fans of Gilmore guy Matt Czuchry. The pilot for his new CBS legal drama, The Good Wife, doesn't suck. Like, at all.

Yeah I'm excited for the different director.  I wasn't overly fond of Catherine's.  Don't think she quite hit the mark - but then it was always going to be hard to get that particular book right in my opinion.

Taylor was looking mighty buff, wasn't he!  I'm impressed with his efforts in such a short time.  Sadly Rob is still towering above him height wise though and Jake is supposed to surpass him in this novel.  But that is pretty minor I think.  His transformation was well done, from I saw (need to watch it again), but he didn't look big enough at first glance.

And Laurent is per-fect!!

Glad you rescued the thread from page two Brenda.  You're right, it is very wrong!!!

Have you seen the trailer for New Moon? What do you think of it?  The trailer alone shows a few departures from the book itself - I hope they get it right.  Looks good though.

Glad to see a few posts here.

My computer has been broken for a few weeks and I'm only just getting it back up and slowly sorted.

In other news, I wonder what country Heidi is in at the moment?
5  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: A Gilmore Revisiting - The Viewing Party (Bringing Tuesdays Back) on: April 20, 2009, 11:09:15 pm
Hey there forfun.  I too watched the episodes first time around and only joined this site around Season 4 or 5 I think it was.  Then we felt withdrawals with no new eps to watch once the show finished so we thought we'd revisit the show on a weekly basis.  I'm sure there a a few members who weren't present first time around to comment in the episode threads, so this would indeed be a great way for them to do that.  Many have come and gone over the last few years of doing this.

Feel free to join in as we go along.  The more the merrier!!

The Viewing Party - Season 4 Episode 8
Die, Jerk
Official viewing time: Tuesday, April 21st, 2009
(8pm Org time, or the equivalent in your US time zone.  Internationals please view it at your earliest convenience)

Summary: When the editor of the Yale newspaper tells Rory (Alexis Bledel) her articles are dull, she writes a scathing review of the Yale ballet and becomes the target of the vindictive lead ballerina (guest star Katherine Brunk). Jason (Chris Eigeman) impresses Lorelai (Lauren Graham) when he manipulates Emily (Kelly Bishop) into inviting him to Friday night dinner so he can continue his efforts to get Lorelai to go out with him. Surprised to see Nicole (Tricia O'Kelley) at the diner, Lorelai forces Luke (Scott Patterson) to admit that he and Nicole have put their divorce on hold and are dating again, and Lane (Keiko Agena) freaks out when her mother gives her a "marriage jug" to send to Dave in California.

As you may well notice this week we have a wonderful graphic courtesy of lessa.    Thanks a bunch lessa.  We are now accepting entries for Season 4, episode 9 - Ted Koppel's Big Night Out.  The Gilmores' tail gate it at Yale, Lorelai goes on a date with Jason and Rory discovers Paris' little secret.

Happy viewing guys and gals and we'll see you in the episode thread.

Has anybody been watching Legend of the Seeker?  Awesome show!
9  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: A Gilmore Revisiting - The Viewing Party (Bringing Tuesdays Back) on: April 14, 2009, 10:59:32 pm
orry about my lack of posts to update the Viewing Party.  I went away for a week and kind of ran out of time beforehand to come and drop a message here.

I will be back in the next day or so to catch up and make amends.

Cheers Kiss

The American Airlines" joke was funny made even funnier by Lauren by not getting is at first.

I argee Cheri.  And then she's like 'Really Joy?  I can't believe you went there!" And Joy and Whoopi's response to that.

Great interview as always.  Lauren is so gorgeous the way she explains things, all serious... this is it then a hint of sarcasm to make a joke out of it.  Her sense of humour appeals to me.  And Joy cracked me up wit her 'American Airlines' joke.
12  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Reading Thread - Cause it's still sexy! on: March 31, 2009, 04:38:09 am
I have been reading up a storm lately and thought I would just mention the books I've been reading that were really great standouts.

The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold
Very unique telling of the story with amazing characters and quite interesting subject matter.

Welcome to Temptation - Jennifer Crusie
Great fun story, sassy characters, seksey romance and murder and intrigue.  Light reading but a lot of fun.

Wizards First Rule - Terry Goodkind
First book in the Sword of Truth series.  Fantasy material that is a great read, interesting characters and adventurous storyline.  Also recently been made into a TV series called Legend of the Seeker which I am loving.

I'd recommend any of these books.  All enjoyable!

Sorry for the double post, but it's hard to say anything without it getting lost in a VP post.

Just wanted to say that the work you guys are doing is fabulous as usual.  I particularly loved this one from SIDNEY

Also...
Maggie ~ Okay, these are just absolutely amazing. *prettystick & a half Grin*

I read that statement Mel and had to double take at the prettystick and a half comment.  I realise it was just a thang, but my stupid brain started telling me there's a special section of the board that we sub 10,000 post plebs don't get to see and that you might actually be able to do it lol.  I know, I think it's something in the water, but just felt like sharing! Cheesy
