1  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: Heidi's B'day Appreciation Thread - Because Her Dedication Deserves Recognit on: March 24, 2007, 01:30:10 am
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, Heidi!
I thought I'd write it in German.

I hope you have a wonderful day with lots of fun, sunshine and a huge cake.

Sorry for this very uncreative post, but I'm still too busy.[/color]

Heidi, my room gets very hot in the summer too (like 30-35°C) as does the whole appartment. We don't have any A/C, but I got used to it.
I'm looking forward to the new poll. Smiley

I think I envy you for the temperature (whatever it is), because most of the time it's around 18°C and I'm freezing.  I totally like the new poll. Smiley And I also eat cereals most of the time without milk.

Heidi, that's a very cute pic. Smiley I'm joining and post a pic of myself as a kid. It's my favourite one though I'm not sure how old I am there.

Cimme, ich denke, die werden im Herbst wieder damit anfangen. Vox schafft das ja eigentlich immer ganz gut.

Hi Fanny,

It's so good to see you around!  Now that you're done with university, do you think you'll have more time to spend with us?  We've missed you!  I understand that things might be hard until you get a job, but maybe things will calm down then.

Welcome back.

~Heidi

I'm pretty busy with teaching and with going to the job centre this and the next week, but I hope that everything calms down after these two weeks. I really need some time to rest. And then I'm gonna try to come here more often.

Dri, I try to come to the Brazilian thread soon. I need to practice my Portuguese. I'm pretty afraid to forget everthing. Cheesy

McSteamy in a towel.

He really was McSteamy in that scene. Loved it very much. Cheesy

Hey fellow Sprees. Marian asked me to stop by the thread and give some updates on my life. There's nothing much to tell besides that I finished university yesterday.  Grin I finally managed to pass the exam in Portuguese/Brazilian literature. I never studied so hard for anything and I nearly died of a heart attack before and was hyperventilating, but yay, I did it. So now I have to find a job. I've send an application to the Netherlands and plan to send one to Korea too. And I'm gonna go to the job centre today and see if there are any jobs in Leipzig. I'd really like to stay here, but I don't have much hope. And while I don't have a real job, I'm gonna teach all the Koreans who want to have private lessons. Today, I'm gonna meet with two new students. Smiley
8  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: GilmoreGirls.org Memory Lane Contest: Win a season 6 DVD set! on: February 08, 2007, 11:55:07 pm
Heidi, I love this idea. Smiley I probably have too many good memories.

1. The forum had/has so wonderful members. When I joined the old forum, I felt welcome very fast. I think Melissa was the first one who answered my post in the introduction thread and we talked about that we both don't like coffee.

2. Being the first member that joined the new forum and getting a Welcom-PM from Heidi. I wrote my thesis at that time and was on my pc every day and refreshed the forum page every day just to look if something happened. And one day it was back and I squeed in my LJ about it.

3. The long discussions in the Spree Thread. I needed like half an hour every morning to read through all posts.

4. The German thread. We were really chatty once. And it was fun that Heidi and the Aussis and Melissa stopped by once in a while and impressed us with their German words they know. Smiley

5. The ORG-Shirts. I love them and wear them with pride. I even wore it yesterday when I had my last exam and it must have brought my luck.

6. But the best memory is that I met two very special people and we became friends in real life.

I think I could go on and on...

Danke, Cimme.

Smiley
11  Gilmore Girls / International Discussion / Re: Gilmore Girls in German on: February 08, 2007, 05:08:35 am
Hehe. Danke.

6.  A friend and I did once think that a fire hydrant was a ghost.  (Not really a ghost, but it was one of those funny/haha type moments.)  In our defense, we'd been in the sun for quite a while on a very hot day.  For some reason, a white t-shirt had been placed over a green fire hydrant and the hydrant was positioned in front of a hill at a local park.  Because the hill was also green, you couldn't tell that there was a fire hydrant and it looked like a white blob was hovering all by itself.  And thus, the ghost story was born.

Hehe, I like that story.  Grin

Until you're all sick of me. Wink

We'll never get sick of you!

Whenever my current poll reaches 36 votes, I'll swap it out with something new.

But don't forget to tell us what of those things are true? I'm dying to know.

I guess it's only appropriate that Fanny was teh first to send you the card, since she was the original member of the org!;)

I was suprised that mine was the first, because I live pretty far away. But I've probably mailed my card earlier than some of the members have seen Heidi's request...
