Episode Discussion / Season 6 / Re: 6.05 - We've Got Magic To Do

I loved the scene where Emily confronts Shira, it was great!! I loved how she tell her all that horrible things (that she deserved though) and still managed not to raise her voice. I love the part when she says: "He's still a playboy, you know. Well, of course you know. That would explain why your weight goes up and down thirty pounds every other month." I think Emily is not such a bad person, and she would have been a better mom if she tried to relax sometimes and not being so uptight. I also felt bad for Richard when she finally realised what they had done with Rory and betraying Lorelai like that. His face was more eloquent than 1000 words, I just felt sorry for him.

Could please somebody tell me will L/L break up or not? I'm kind of confused now. I understood they indeed were breaking up. I hate that, by the way, They both know they are perfect for each other, I don't understand why they would break up, but I guess it would be a pretty big thing, and that's awful because maybe that means they won't recover from that situation and never get married that's a pretty sad season finale.

Welcome Carmina! I love Mexico, I was on an internship for six weeks in Guadalajara and had the greatest time! We are really turning global, aren´t we? Welcome to all new members, I hope you´ll love it here as much as I do! Thank you for the welcome! Guadalajara is a beautiful city, it has a lot of history and really beautiful buildings. I live in Mexico City, is a beautiful city too with lots of things to see. I love my country too!

I also like Luke and Lorelai together, they are perfect together and they love each other so much, I jus wish they could get married already and stop Luke to worry about April liking Lorelai better (I think that's stupid, though). I don't want them to break up, I want a happy season finale also! The good thing is I think the show will have another season, I read it in this website, so we will have one more season to enjoy

I also read Harry Potter 6 in english (I'm from Mexico), and I want to read The complete Chronicles of Narnia in english, to improve my english as well as my pronunciation (I like to read some of the chapters out loud so I can hear myself and the rithm of the language).
Lol, I did that with Harry Potter 6. But only when I was home alone because otherwise my parents would think I was crazy! Yes, I know what you mean. I do it alone in my bedroom with the door closed so no one could hear me, that helps me focus on the rithm and not beinf self-conscious of someone hearing me

¡Gracias Marian! Well, I think we have longer names because of our both surnames (the first one is the surname of the father, and the second one is of the mother). Also, catholic people often include the name María after any other name of one of Virgin's apparitions. In fact, my name is not so long after all, I've known people with three names and the two surnames Well, that went way off-thread, sorry and thank you again for the welcome, Marian

Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: The Wonders Of Gilmore Girls - What Makes GG Great?

I love that is a show that deals with real life problems, and doesn't focus on sex or violence like so many other shows. I also like the relationship between Lorelai and Rory, I think Lor is a great mom because she is like a kid herself. I think that is just what anyone needs to be a wonderful mother, it doesn't matter if you are married or older, when it comes to children, you have to make your best effort, that is: loving them and have fun with them, not being a bitter old lady like Emily. I like that they talk about friendship and family, two of the most important values we may have, and of course it's a show about love, in every form. Wonderful show, great storyline and great characters too, that is what makes it a big hit

Well I love to read, I am currently reading the number two of Ramses by Christian Jacq, I loved the first one and this is starting out just great. I finished reading "The Angel's Promise" by Frédéric Lenoir and Violette Cabesos, it's a great historic novel I couldn't stop reading! I also read Harry Potter 6 in english (I'm from Mexico), and I want to read The complete Chronicles of Narnia in english, to improve my english as well as my pronunciation (I like to read some of the chapters out loud so I can hear myself and the rithm of the language). I read another great book, it's called "Caesar's Druide" by Claude Cueni, it is another historic novel.
