1  Gilmore Girls / Show and Cast Member News / Re: Ask Ausiello: Gilmore Girls Reunion Movie - 05.23.07 on: May 25, 2007, 08:47:06 am
I'll probably get flamed for this but why is Alexis being such a pain and dragging the show down? She could suck it up and do a movie and make the fans and AS-P happy. I don't know about Lauren's blind loyalty to someone who seems so overly selfish. The Gilmore Girls MADE Alexis and now she just can't wait to fly so far from where she started. It really just ticks me off that all of it seems to be over because of her.
I loved her character. I loved all the characters. These "people" were my reason for living for the last few years on Tuesdays. I sadly didn't get in on it until halfway through season four but then I had a voracious appetite for it, watched all the reruns on ABC Family and got caught up. I'm still watching the reruns every day.
I know it's just a show but look how important these characters are to everyone. They are like family to us all. My daughter even named her baby Lorelai. Sorry I got off topic. I just am so aggravated that Alexis seemed to be the one to rip a season 8 out of our hands.

Okay, I'm done. I hope they do the movie. Even if they have to hogtie her and only let her loose to do her part. It would be awesome to see how Amy wanted it done.

Now I guess I'll wait for Amy's new show to come out on Fox and I'll give it a whirl and see if I can find something else to love.

2  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.22 - Bon Voyage on: May 15, 2007, 08:59:27 am
Well, today is the day. The day Gilmore fans have been dreading, the series finale. It's hard to believe that it's actually happening but we have so many memories from this show that will last long after it's gone.

Everyone, enjoy tonight's episode. Laugh, cry, relax, eat junk food, cherish the hour, sing the theme song when it comes on, marvel at the characters once more, and just don't let the hour go by without enjoying one last trip to Stars Hollow.

I'm so sad. But at least I'll always have a Lorelai. My daughter named my Granddaughter that when she was born last month. I know all 3 of us will be here tonight watching the last episode crying (the grandkid just cuz that's what she does but still...) I will never love Tuesday nights again.  Cry

3  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.03 - Lorelai's First Cotillion on: October 11, 2006, 03:48:17 pm
I love where the story is going.   Lorelai and Chris have great chemistry together and I am very excited where this will lead

It's the strangest thing for me to be saying this but I love it too! I became a Gilmore addict midway through season four but have subsequently caught up on all of the episodes and I have to say I was "all in" for the Luke Lorelai thing but there's something to be said for the timeless quality of Chris and Lorelai. Who here doesn't remember their first love? A little of that love always remains somewhere deep and usually under the right circumstances can be brought back around to the surface with just a little nudge. Luke was just an a$$ to Lorelai from the moment he found out about that kid (funny that I'm ranting about fictional characters) and you can say it was just his coping mechanism or lack thereof but there's really no excuse for the way that he treated her. He dumped her for going over to Chris's the night his dad died and not telling him. She didn't even dump him when he didn't tell her about a KID that he knew about for two months.
Ultimately I still hope Luke and Lorelai get together but that thought is getting weaker with each episode and from the previews from next week that thought might be totally gone by then. I want Luke to be forced to think about his actions and how he is the one who caused the rift because of the things he did.
Of course I am about Lorelai's age and I have a kid about Rory's age so maybe age has something to do with my feelings. I can see what I would have done in this predicament.

I think it's strangely cool this new Chris and Lorelai thing. Can't wait til next week to see what happens!!!! Oh and I like the new writers. I like the Lane Zach thing and the Logan Rory thing. I just have really enjoyed getting to know this change in characters.

You may now...FLAME ME!  Grin
