1  GilmoreGirls.org / Announcements / Re: Heidi's Soapbox: News, Opinions, and Things You Never Wanted to Know on: August 03, 2008, 11:06:00 pm
I am a longtime Griffey fan but i am curious to see how he'll do in center field at this late stage of his career, if that's where they intend to play him. He can still crank out the homeruns though.

I saw that he already made SportCenter's highlight reel as a member of the White Sox.  Smiley

Lauren Graham
By: Megan McCoy

Lauren Graham is an amazing person. She started in acting young, and through the years, her talent has never diminished. Lauren Graham has always been a happy person. Fun- loving even, but now Iím not so sure. Every since season six of her hit TV show, GILMORE GIRLS, she has been looking very depressed, and pale. She hasnít been coming out of her house at weeks at a time. Every once in a while she will come out to go to a premiere, but other than that she has been pretty quiet and to herself. Many have suspected pregnancy, but I think different.

A possibility is that she was pregnant, and lost the baby. That would explain the depression, and the staying in. Another possibility is that she got rid of the baby, thinking she couldnít do it. Raising a baby is tough for those of you who havenít experienced it, and being famous, and with a steady job is even harder. I understand Laurenís reasons if this is the case. All I know is that Lauren isnít herself anymore. She has changed. Something is wrong, and I just want to help. If Lauren is reading this, please let the world know. All your fans are worried, and if you keep us waiting any longer we will get restless. We care about you Lauren, and we just want what is best for you. If you are feeling remorse, or even just a little sick or sad we want to help. Iím sure more than 100 people could back me up on that. We all love you more than anything. Only you can choose your fait, but help is always a good thing. You Rock!!

Lauren is beloved. No one wants to see her hurt.
If she does have a problem, we should all help.
So if you would like to please let me know at [email protected].

This is maybe the greatest post to come along in quite a while [in the sense that I don't even know where to start].† I think I'll keep things to a minimum by simply asking where you're getting this information [your source].† I don't really expect a response -- but I had to ask.

3  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: GilmoreGirls.org's Veronica Mars?! Contest: Win a season three DVD set! on: October 18, 2007, 01:15:49 am
<3 Gilmore Girls.  <3 Veronica Mars.  Let's see -- why I admire Veronica Mars and/or Lorelai Gilmore -- that's pretty simple, for their snarkiness.

And I mean that in a totally positive light.  It takes smarts to be snarky; it also takes character and a little bit of courage.  Lorelai and Veronica were never mean without it being warranted.  They would stand up for themselves or their friends when the time was right [and often do it with biting wit].  That's not always easy.

Granted, but now every CD player/ripper you own is broken.

I wish I didn't have so many exams this week.

Granted -- but then you'd be doing real work instead.

I wish I had a good book to read.
5  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: The GilmoreGirls.org Great8Mandate on: June 02, 2007, 06:21:26 pm

Nope, it's not. †It's for Good Game. †The outgoing message identifies the company and all three officers of the company specifically by name, Lauren first.† Since you said so, I have no doubt that the company left the lot when the show ended, but the phone number is definitely still the same.

 †-- Rob

I tried calling and the message said something like -- "The person at extension 3414 is not available."

OKAY.. ITS DONE.. please pm me your votes total, and i'll get back to you as soon as all the people who said they'd vote sent it, and i just got one

I don't mean to be a downer -- because I love all the support -- especially of the voting kind, but as Heidi said earlier it might not be such a good idea to post the tally of all your votes.  On the slight chance that fans from other shows are lurking here it gives them an idea on how many votes they'll need to top us.

Hey!

I GOT NEWS.

I was watching TV today and I forgot what channel, but they were talking about the E! poll Save One Show. Apparently, Gilmore Girls doesn't have much of a chance of getting a season 8. It wasn't on the top lists, same with One Tree Hill. Ah, oh well. We can still do it!

I don't know if someone posted about this already, sorry!

I don't doubt what you saw -- but at this point I think GG has just as good of a chance as any other CW show. †The Network has made it clear they want GG to come back -- they just have to convince the actors. †If things had already been settled and finalised we would have heard about it by now and the GG crew would know about it. †From recent FanForum reports and Heidi's own report that is not the case. †Keep the faith. †It is not over yet.  At least GG is in the E! top five.  That's more than other shows can say.  Keep voting.

I'm normally a lurker - but I wanted to stop in and say how much I support the Great8Mandate.  I've written emails to all the Great8 contacts and am sincerely hoping that good season 8 news will be just around the corner.  The CW network would be downright silly to let this show go.

9  Episode Discussion / Season 7 / Re: 7.14 - Farewell, My Pet on: February 13, 2007, 01:55:44 pm
I did not like how Cameron called luke and lorelai fans lukelais in his intreviews! if he knew anything about the show and the fans he would know that it Java Junkies. i have never heard what he called tham inmy life! lol. i just wanted to point that out.

Crickey -- give the guy a break. Just because he doesn't know all the Gilmore Girls lingo doesn't mean you have to get all bent out of shape. Him not knowing what a java junkie is doesn't make him any less of an actor. It was a good interview to read. He took time to partake in it and as a supposed fan, you should be thankful that someone involved with the show -- at whatever capacity -- is kind of to interact with a fansite. Plus Lukelais is a fun wood anyway. You should do like Cam said and chillax.

10  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: do you feel like YOU ARE LEFT OUT on the forum? on: July 09, 2006, 11:10:29 pm
ya i feel left out all the time whrn people are on and they are my buddies and they now me and they just wont talk to me!!

I think that part of your problem is that many of your posts simply entail one sentence responses.  It'd be helpful if you could add a little depth to what you have to say.  Not only does that help the board become a better place for quality conversation, but it will also help you receive responses from others because they'll have more to draw from.  But what do I know.  I am only a lurker.  Lips Sealed

11  Gilmore Girls / Cast and Characters / Re: The Yale Daily News on: May 09, 2006, 04:43:45 pm
I really enjoy it when the ORG does interviews.  It's interesting to read about the inner-workings of the show and learn a little more about the actors involved in Gilmore Land.  Thank you Devon and Heidi for bringing it to us.
Also, it's cool that Devon graduated from Yale and now plays a student who goes there.  I'm glad that the Gilmore crew went to such great lengths to make the Yale sets look so real.

I was just visiting the front page of the ORG and there is a new interview with Adam Hendershott - he plays a Yale Daily News writer on GG and is also a sometimes cast member of Veronica Mars.  It is a good read for both GG and VM Fans.

Pretty cool of both the ORG and Adam to do an interview.

13  Gilmore Girls / General Discussion / Re: GilmoreGirls.org T-shirts Now Available on: April 19, 2006, 05:43:02 pm
Now, I wanted to tell everyone.  I LOVE the material of the shirt, it's a soft and smooth cotton feeling.  It's going to be a great shirt to wear in the hot weather.

I also want to urge all to post their pics.... I don't want to be the only one here.  Please join me in the embarrassment and the appreciation of Gilmore Girls.  (Woah, I didn't realize it'd be that big.... I don't know if I'll have the guts to keep it on this long Grin)

I'm usually more of a lurker than a poster but I had to sign on to tell you that I think the shirt looks great!!  Not only is the shirt cool but your photos are are excellent as well.  If I had enough posts to give community points I would surely give you some!!
