This quiet period doesn't seem right at all. Oh, I saw a clip on E! News (I don't know why I watch it) but they were talking to Lauren and Dax Shepherd interrupted and was going nuts over the fact that Lauren mentioned Gilmore Girls.
I think he is waiting for the GG movie as well.
Is Amy writing the movie right now and let's all hope it doesn't end up like those awful Sex & the City movies. Particularly the 2nd one.

Oh man, now I remember. Oh god, I'm awful at this now.
LORELAI: But this is America, where we unapologetically bastardize other countries' cultures in a gross quest for moral and military supremacy.
RORY: I forgot. Bring on the imperialistic condiments.
LORELAI: Hey, do you think Annie the Grog Girl made a pass at Luke? I'm sure he rebuffed her, but he was there a long time. I hope not. I'd joust the little slut.
RORY: Hmm.
LORELAI: So, you want to talk about --
RORY: Something to watch?
LORELAI: Uh, yes. Something to watch.
RORY: You pick.

Well, from the blogs and reviews I've read from the Toronto Film Festival. Reviews have been mixed. Even as expectations were high considering that Anna Boden/Ryan Fleck has made 2 solid films in previous years. Half Nelson and Sugar. The main complaint was the script because it tried to be both funny and sad but with no balance. A lot of praise goes to the cast despite the script while Lauren's role is really small as the mother of the lead.
I'm not sure if you would want to see it just because she's not in it very much. Even as the focus is on Keir Gilchrist, Emma Roberts, and Zach Galifanakis (who I feel is overrated).
Some said her role is just a walk-on role.
