About the character: Mrs. Kim is the mother of Lane Kim, Rory's best friend, and is also the owner of a furniture shop in Stars Hollow. She is quick to speak her mind whether it is about young girls kissing boys or about Lorelai being an unmarried mother.
About the actress: Emily can been seen this fall in Warner Brother's Gilmore Girls as Mrs. Kim, and as Min Seo in the upcoming HBO film, Stranger Inside. Other recent television credits include: The Practice, Family Law, Snoops, Arli$$, Party of Five, ER, Profiler, Chicago Hope, Working, General Hospital, LA Heat, Party Girl, Melrose Place, Sisters, and LA Law. Emily is also the recipient of five Dramalogue Awards and a Garland Award for outstanding performance. Not only that, but also a 2000 L.A. Ovation award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a play for Straight As a Line.
